One of our flagship UK Government programmes needs a UI Developer to work on a key application that helps keep UK Citizens’ safe. Our Software Engineering teams are bursting with talent, and are trusted to help deliver transformative digital work for high profile clients. All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level. This role will require you to work at our Reading office for the majority of the working week.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In your role you will be working as part of a team responsible for the following;

• Detailed design, code and unit test of UI elements of the overall secure database application
• Implementing fixes for incidents from the live system and implementing application changes for Contract Changes
  
  

You’ll also join a highly motivated community of Software Engineers and Developers both on the project and across the business at CGI working collaboratively, supporting each other and making sure we provide best in class solutions. You’ll be fully supported with additional training and development opportunities as well, including in-house sandbox environments available to help you develop your skills further.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

You’ll need to have solid development experience plus skills in one or more of the following:

• Java
• JSP
• Javascript
• HTML/CSS
  
  

Desirable Skills:

• Experience of deploying products onto enterprise systems.
• Awareness of designing and building secure solutions.
• Weblogic Server
• Spring framework
• JQuey
• Angular JS
