Midlands Partnerships Nhs Foundation Trust Has A Number Of Mental Health Support Teams (Mhsts) Working Within Schools Across South Staffordshire. These Teams Have Been Introduced To Support The Transformation Of Children And Young People’s Mental Health Services.


As Part Of The Development Of Mental Health Support Teams The Service Works Across A Range Of Educational, Healthcare And Community Settings To Provide Early Intervention/Evidence Based Interventions For Children And Young People And Their Families. These New Roles Support The Government's Priority Of Increasing Access To And Availability Of Mental Health And Wellbeing Support For Children And Young People.


We Currently Have Two Band 6 Vacancies, These Roles Will Focus On Areas Of Specialism Which May Include Send, Family Support, Safeguarding Etc. The Post Holder Will Provide Consultation Directly With Education Providers, Families/Carers And Children/Young People. The Role Will Focus On Early Intervention And Prevention Enabling Children And Young People To Access Support Immediately Without Delay. Other Parts Of The Role Will Be Providing Supervision To Emhps In Your Area Of Specialism, Delivering Training To Colleagues With The Team And Across Schools And Working With Education Providers In Developing The Whole School Approach.
