As a member of our Global Finance and Technology Investment Governance engineering team you will be in a hands-on developer role making substantial direct and contributions in terms of coding, design and providing technical leadership to a modern clod-based tech platform of shared micro-services and finance applications. You'll join a strong team of engineers passionate about engineering excellence and focused on building a modern suite of micro-services and cloud applications used in Global Finance to support critical business processes. Coming in with passion for and an understanding of the importance of modern SDLC, engineering excellence practices and CI/CD is imperative. You'll be often working with and sharing ideas, information, and innovation with our global team of engineers from all over the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Experience with and understanding of architecture and design patterns of modern distributed systems and micro-services
  • Experience with modern developer tools, tech stack and engineering practices
  • Proficiency and experience with Java, Spring, and micro-services development
  • Experience and proficiency in other programming languages will be considered (C#, Python, JavaScript, C/C++)
  • Proficiency and experience with Web frontend development (HTML5; JavaScript; CSS)
  • Experience with React is preferred; other frameworks and tools will be considered as well
  • Experience with modern data platforms / store and related tech, including data modelling and large data sets (Including both relational / SQL & NoSQL, experience with Cassandra is a plus)
  • Good understanding of cloud architectures, micro-services, and distributed systems
  • Proficiency and experience with modern SDLC and development process and tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Strong communication skills. Must be able to discuss business objectives and potential solutions with technical and / or non-technical stakeholders
  • Systematic, ability to think logically, analyze situations and strong problem solving
  • Experience with Finance applications and business domain is a plus
