About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

The Senior Applications Developer must have skills and experience in web design, development, testing and implementation of .Net web applications. He/She will provide input, support and will perform full systems life cycle management activities. The Senior Applications Developer researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies providing knowledge and support for all phases. He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication in supporting the achievement of objectives.

The Senior Applications Developer must have thorough knowledge of C#, .Net, and Angular. At least 5 years of experience with .Net web applications. Experience with Couchbase databases, microservices, CI/CD pipeline and familiarity with OpenShift or Kubernetes is a plus. The senior developer will collaborate with other teams, guide application deployments, mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews. He/She must be self-motivated, dependable, proactive, organized and a strong team player.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile Development, Angular 2, C# .NET and Data Analysis
  • Knowledge of Couchbase databases
  • Familiarity with Technical Analysis and Leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
