Job Description – Android Developer

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This mobile app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced native applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and build new features
• Work on architectural design sessions with other developers and product owners
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, security and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven commercial software development experience in Android with Kotlin and Java
• Have published at least one original Android app (please share links)
• Strong knowledge of android SDK, building apps compatible with a wide range of OS versions and for multiple screen sizes
• Experience with offline, secure storage like Room DB and SQLlite DB
• Experience in Navigation component, Firebase, MVVM Architecture, Push Notifications
• Dependency Injection (like Dragger/Hilt), Lifecycle observer, activity/fragment lifecycle, retrofit, Kotlin flow and Coroutines.
• Experience working with CI/CD, such as Bitrise
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tool such as Git, Github.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON based APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, especially working in Scrum Sprints and other Agile frameworks.
• Solid understand of user stories and BDD.
• Understanding of Spread betting, Forex trading, Crypto Currency, and Blockchain Technology is an advantage
